Ground Game Tips For Beginners

Groundgame for Noobs:

This playlist has a couple of video's all teaching the ground game for beginners, it will keep playing after the first video has stopped.

Learn all about transitions, submissions etc. And get into some stuff about reversals
The ground game is a really important part of the game. Probably just as important as the standup game. If you're losing the standup, take your opponent down.

BJJ has special moves when they're on their back, but no throws/slams.
Wrestling has special moves from the Top and also standing slams.
Judo has seem from the back and some from top and standing throws.

How it works

Welcome To UVT for Xbox 360 players.
We try to keep a record of all the fights between created fighters that have been recorded.
After a while you can update your own  official record and videos.

Our main goal is to keep everything fair and realistic, we will host UVT tournaments where every fight must be documented (recorded), but you can also record private matches and add them to your record.

These are the rules you must follow for your fighter to have an official UVT record:
  • Create an original character
Characters must be created in career mode, no point limit.
Must have original name and look (No Fedors and Royce Gracies etc.)

  • Record online fights with other CAFs (created characters)
You can only fight the same opponent twice outside a official UVT event, any other fights will not count for your record. Make sure either you or your opponent has a way to record and host the video (use Youtube etc. for hosting)

  • After 10 fights you must fight a tough opponent
You can add ANY online fight between you and a created fighter to your record for your first 10 fights.
After 10 fights, the opponent must be within 10 points difference in win percentage.
Either ranked or UVT.
For example if you have 70% ranked win ratio your opponent must have at least 60%

If you or your opponent is not yet a UVT rated player you must demonstrate both of your ranked records in the video.

  • Your character can not miss out on UVT events and challenges.
Read this link on how to fight in a tournament. (coming)
Be ready to fight in UVT challenges and tournaments. Missing out on tournament matches will result in a warning, and potential deletion of UVT record.

  • No cheating
Fights where cheating/glitching occurred will not be added to the record.

Read the Official Rules

Rules pt 2.

This are the official rules Where we'll try to get down to the nitty gritty details I guess. Click Here to read the basic guidelines part.

This document is basically just to have a page for people who try to be sick and cheat,
you generally shouldn't have to read all this if you don't plan on glitching/cheating, but now we have a page and a rule that sais ALL PLAYERS MUST FOLLOW THESE RULES OR BE BANNED:

  • You must maintain an accurate UVT record
You can be slick and only upload your wins to Youtube. An opponent might record a loss one day thought, and you'll "forget" to upload it.
If he is a UVT fighter your record might be edited to add the loss, or you'll be notified to edit it yourself (if you're an admin/blogger).
If you're found to have edited your record you might be banned.

  • You can only enter UVT events with one fighter in each weight-class.
You can have as many fighters as you want on UVT but you can only enter events and tournaments with one fighter in each weight-class.
UVT Admins and bloggers currently don't have a very good system for keeping track of how many characters you have in UVT though, so if two of your characters are invited or challenged in the same tournament you must notify us that they're both your characters.
